The ROAD to Housing Act will bring new tools for manufactured housing, local construction, financing and disaster recovery, with changes set to roll out over time.

Florida’s attorney general rewrote the ballot language for a proposed property tax amendment after a judge found the wording misleading. The measure would increase homestead exemptions beginning in 2027 if approved by at least 60% of voters in November.

The 30-year fixed rate slipped to 6.67% from 6.69% last week. The 15-year fixed rate also fell, to 5.96% from 6.01%. Both remain above year-ago levels.
